Lessons on Being Percieved from a Kindle

For a long time, I resisted against buying a Kindle, Nook, or any other type of e-reader. I was frequently tempted to purchase one, especially when I traveled, because it was so much easier than bringing a ton of books. My main reason for not giving in and getting one was not the high price point or a resistence against technology, although I told myself this was part of it. The main reason, like many other people, was that I liked reading and owning physical books. There is a certain nostalgic comfort of curling up with a book that is not quite the same with an e-reader. I also love to see my ever-growing bookshelf: it feels like a collection of stories that make up me. But this semester, during my time studying abroad in Italy, I finally gave in and bought a Kindle.
